Eric Desjardins
As Gilded Design + Build’s dedicated Operations Manager, Eric is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management.
With over 20 years of experience in construction, Eric is highly skilled in managing and prioritizing project schedules, assessing the feasibility of structural and mechanical systems to ensure no surprises, and coordinating and managing trades to ensure quality and accuracy. He has experience in the following areas of construction:
-residential and commercial renovations
-project management (including high end –renovations and custom homes)
-framing, backframing and roofing
-net zero builds
Eric is committed to maintaining clean and safe job sites and strives to ensure the quality and accuracy of home design that exceed industry standards
Cory Simpson
As Gilded Design + Build’s dedicated Sales and Account Manager, Cory is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and account management.
Cory began his career as a builder during high school, participating in a program that provided training for young individuals interested in the trades. He gained experience as a young carpenter with high-end interior renovation companies in the Ottawa area before transitioning into construction management, focusing on estimating, procurement and financial planning of construction projects for prominent firms. Through dedication and hard work, he advanced in the corporate world quickly, assuming leadership roles in these firms.
Seeking to address the shortcomings of larger construction companies, Cory, in partnership with Eric, founded Gilded Design + Build in 2021. Since its establishment, Gilded has quickly built a strong reputation in the industry for efficiency, cost effectiveness and shear quality of the final product.
